Same here. I’m having import issues. After trying to import the XML file from my old blog, the import screen freezes and stops importing. Have tried several things, but nothing corrects the problem.

No one with WORDPRESS seems to care about this issue. I’ve seen several posts on import issues with NO SOLUTION.

    Can anyone help?

I’m having trouble with my import of xml file. I am hosting with iPower. When I try to import the xml file I exported from my existing blog, the import window lists a few files then freezes. If you refresh the screen, it sometimes imports a few more files, but then eventually freezes all together. I’ve tried to do this several ways, importing for specific authors one at a time. Each file has only been about 1.5 mb. If I try to export/import the entire blog, it’s a 3.5 mb file. On my new host/server, I had them increase the php.ini to 5 mb, but that didn’t solve the problem.

    Please help.

Sorry, as I said, I’m not a programmer or very knowledgable. How do I edit the wp-config.php file? Should I edit it once I download it to my hard-drive, before moving to the new server?
My new host had me create a database for WP ‘ver1004…..’ If I delete that database from my new host’s MySql, then how do I import the old database?

Sorry for the questions, but I’m completely lost and I’m desperate to move my WP site from a crappy old web host to a new host.

    thank you,
    Steve

I am not a programmer or very savy. I’ve tried to delete this plugin from my dashboard, but get the following message:

Warning: include(../../../wp-load.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/b/o/w/boweebstew/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/uninstall.php on line 8

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘../../../wp-load.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/b/o/w/boweebstew/html/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/uninstall.php on line 8

I attempted to use the manually uninstall instructions in the readme.txt file, but that’s very confusing and I can’t find some of the php files the readme refers to.

Please help. I need to get rid of this plugin. Since I installed it 2 days ago, my site is screwed up and running erratically. I deactivated the plugin but my web host says that it’s still screwing things up.

Please help so I can get my site back to working.
