Yes, this is regarding the “Better Recent Comments” plugin.
In the widget settings, under “visibility,” it gives the option to “Hide if” — and then there’s a selection of categories. So I’ve selected hide if “author” is — then there’s another drop down with options — and I’ve tried selecting my name, so that it would be “hide if author is Stefanie” — but that didn’t work. It didn’t hide any of my comments. So I tried “hide if author is ‘all author pages'” and that also did not hide the author comments. Does that make sense? I like showing the comments readers have made on the website, but not necessarily my replies. I’m hoping there’s a way to just show the readers’ comments.

On Safari and on Chrome. I figured out that it is the NextGEN plugin that’s causing the issue. Trying to contact them about it now. Thanks.
