Update: this only seems to happen for variant prices. If I do the same thing to a simple product instead of a variable product the VAT calculation is correct.

Thanks for the quick reply. The mailer type is Default, PostSMTP.
I don’t use SMTP however. For some magical reason one I activate your plugin the website can send email using the WP email delivery.
I get this message: Postman is not configured and is mimicking out-of-the-box WordPress email delivery
But that’s fine for me. If I deactivate this plugin, emails isn’t getting sent.
