I installed a plugin called “Hide Title” which works great. Now on every page there is an option to “Hide title”. That way I can leave the title in the page.
Thanks! it’s getting closer. I do like the effect but it now seems to be covering some of the page below. I change the background colour to transparent just so I can see just how much.
Any suggestions?

Sure, thanks! I suspect it may be too much work for this theme, there is another theme that has exactly what I am looking for, but I don’t need all the bells and whistles of that theme. 🙂
