In reply to: Pages missing after importHi, Jay. Thanks for your reply. I’m mostly trying to duplicate Site A onto Site B, although Site B already has some HTML pages that I need to keep.
Someone suggested that I try just the Portolios option in WP Export and Import, and that did the trick. I don’t know why my portfolios didn’t get imported when I used All Content for export and import. I’ll now do the same with Pages.

I used a tool provided by my web hosting company to install WP on Site B. I then launched the WP admin screen on that site and installed my desired theme. Now I’m trying to get the pages and portfolios I created on Site A onto Site B and into that theme. I saw that on Site A, my media library was stored in my directory structure, but the pages and portfolios were apparently off on some database on the hosting company’s servers.

In reply to: Confusion about moving domainsI found out from my web hosting provider that I don’t need to go through the moving process; I was able to export my content from WP on Domain A and import it into WP on Domain B. I have a few glitches to sort out, but the content has been moved!

In reply to: Confusion about moving domainsHi, t-p. Yes, Better Search Replace was one of the plugins I saw recommended. But what about the instruction to change the locations BEFORE I copy the files to Domain B? Do I really have to do that, and if so, won’t that make the files unusable on Domain A?
