Thank you again. Yes, it opened in Google Sheets fine. I had tried TWO csv programs, both had the same errors. Strange.
So two more questions.
1. Would it be ok to add that line to the config JUST for uploading a csv, and then it would no longer be needed so I can remove it?
2. Since it doesn’t like html code in the short description, would putting it in the LONG description be ok?

I get a feeling this is pipe related. In my spreadsheet, I can see a pipe | in the top line (like an address bar) but it is invisible in the spreadsheet, and causing breaking, moving it to the next line.
But using the pipe character in the spreadsheet doesn’t help.

I dont have “storefront) but I switched to basic wordpress themes (tried a bunch, 2011, 2019, 2020, etc. I disabled all plugins except woocomerce. Same thing happens.
It’s the SHORT DESCRIPTION field. whenever it is filled, the issue occurs.

@ermilis I think they’re gone. I was using Comet Cache, another of their no longer updated products. I’ve been using s2member for a long time. Fortunately, there are no problems but always concerned about keeping plugins up to date as WordPress continues to be updates, and of course security concerns. At a crossroads here.

Did you resolve this? I am having the same problem and I also use along with Sendgrid.
The links creating by Sendgrid are very long and prior to update would start with https, now they are http.
and the links also land on my BLOG home and not the correct URL.
after disabling postman smtp, I have no trouble with the links.
