In reply to: [Make] Update is eating my siteI’ve successfully modified the problematic page once, but since I’m on a beta version of our website, I’m just going to leave things as is for now and not play around too much.
If I had a proper module for migrating a website, I would migrate a copy of it to an offline virtual server. Bitnami has great software I’ve used in the past in order to host a WordPress site offline, so I would make changes to that offline site and then upload it on top of the live one.
For now, I’ll just wait for an update to Make, but when we go live, I’ll probably use that strategy and make weekly backups, plus whenever I make major updates.
Otherwise, I think support is better when you buy a license to Make, which is normal.

In reply to: [Make] Update is eating my siteHaving same issue, though I’ve successfully updated at least one page. That one in question had only a two column component.
Then one had it’s content disappear, though the layout seemed intact, like banner and columns were still there. Did not have a slideshow component of the theme.
Like OP, could not revert to previous versions of the page without the content disappearing. Had to reload latest backup version of the site.
This is potentially catastrophic.
Had the same problem, fixed it by replacing in the code :
link="custom"
instead oflink="post"
