Fixed! Somehow every alinea got a span tag. When removed, the footnotes work as pleased.

Please note: When using a mobile phone, cliking on the footnote number will scroll you down to the footnote list. Then only by scrolling back up the yellow box with the footnote text appears. Anyway to get the box on clicking but prevent the scrolling down?
Hi there, thank you for looking into this. I deactivated the plugins – same problem. Changing the theme also does not influence the bug.
On a few pages with 10+ footnotes it works perfect. But on this page they show up in the text as well. Might it be an internal problem?
