In reply to: [wpForo Forum] tag seems to kill footer & more??!!Yes, even with the “Twenty Fifteen/Sixteen/Seventeen” themes, with the {wpforo] shortcode added to the page, I have no footer and no WordPress admin bar, without it, I do! This is so weird!
I just spent an hour or so chatting with tech support from my hosting company and they were somewhat baffled by this too! They did manage to remove the error but could not get the footer (or the wordpress admin bar) to return to the page. I am out of ideas for where to look next. I have tried five or six different forum options and, whilst they do not cause this problem, they are not customisable enough to blend them with this site, the way wpforo is. So I really don’t want to swith to a different forum plugin but I am running out of time to find a solution! I hope you can help but, knowing just how many variables are in play here, I understand if you can’t.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [wpForo Forum] tag seems to kill footer & more??!!OK, I couldn’t see anything obvious, in the theme folder, to do with wpforo, so I re-installed wpforo and it did exactly the same thing as before! I must be missing something??? I don’t see why the error should be with the footer.php when it is fine on any page that doesn’t have the wpforo shortcode on it!

I deactivated and uninstalled wpforo and I looked in the templates folder bur couldn’t see anything that stood out. However, I don’t have a copy of the wpforo files so I can’t be absolutely certain what I am looking for! Can you give me a filename to look for that will definitely be there if there is anything I need to manually delete?
(My hosting company has an installer for WordPress and plugins etc, so I just searched for, and installed, wpforo from there.)
