    Well.

Did I mention I’m an idiot?

(I saw that missing semi colon. Really I did!)

Thanks for the help. ‘Tis appreciated.

Hmm. I tried an absolute URL – still no luck…

I always develop locally, so I usually just keep everything in the same directory; makes things a lot easier when it comes to uploading, and I can’t remember it giving me a problem before.

The weird thing is that the header image I’m using works just fine with only a local, and it’s pretty much the same CSS – just a different declaration.

    D’oh. Silly quotemarks.

    (Silly me!)

Hmm. Does the URL have to be absolute? I added the quotes (but didn’t change the path) and no change.

    Thanks!

    Here’s the link: http://melody.byethost8.com/

And for the record, the layout I’m basing it off of: http://melody.byethost8.com/mine/music.php

The nav links etcetera won’t work abecause I haven’t filled that out yet, so that’s not a concern. Oh, and beware: The CSS sheet is kind of a mess. I’ll have reorganize it in a way that makes some kind of sense eventually, but I’ve been preoccupied adding and deleting to see what’s what.

    Thanks again!

Just a note for anyone else looking at this thread – I actually removed the img tag from the header.php file and left the div empty. I did this because the image wasn’t displaying properly in Internet Explorer; it was giving me a broken image file overtop of the header image I was using.

That fixed the problem, but it also means that the header image doesn’t link back to the home page. This isn’t a problem for me, as I’m using my own navigation menu, but I thought other people using this solution might want to know. 🙂

Seems to have done the trick – thanks for your help!

(It probably didn’t help that I didn’t notice until I went to change the #header that the div id in the actual php file actually had an id of “rap” for some reason. I feel like such a ditz right now…)

Wow – thanks for the prompt responses, guys! I’ll check for alternate localhost values, curiosity killed the cat, but I’ll probably just install locally and see what happens (makes the inner bandwith nazi happy).

    Thanks again!
