Agree, the passwords should never be stored in plain text, even more sent in emails.
Apart from that, great plugin!
You can go to Settings > Register Plus Redux > New User Message Settings, and hit the “Enable” at “Custom New User Message”.
Now you can edit the email template, removing the password field (what I just did).
