The repeated setup effort you mentioned also stood out to me. Out of curiosity, when setting up a new site today, what part usually takes the most time or feels the most frustrating?

That’s a fair point, and the existing repo and contribution paths definitely make this easier to build on rather than starting from scratch.
Right now I’m mainly trying to reconnect with users and better understand how the plugin is being used today, where the pain points are, and what people still value about it before deciding how to move forward.

The points around missed elements and having to re-save settings stand out. That kind of friction adds up quickly in day-to-day use.
Also useful to see where things feel harder than they should be based on how you’re using it today.

You’re right to question the current status. The plugin hasn’t been actively maintained for some time.
I’ve recently taken ownership of Adminimize from a product perspective and I’m currently reviewing how it’s being used and where it needs improvement before setting a clearer roadmap.
From an initial look, it still brings solid value, especially for agencies, though usability clearly needs work. If you’re actively using it, I’d love to hear what matters most to you.
