I’ve learned not to trust the PHP specs, so this might very well be major- or minor-version-specific. I am also on PHP version 7.2.

<?but it should be<?phpMy guess is that in some version of PHP this became mandatory.
Would be even better if the fix was included in the next update of the plugin.
