Hi, I managed to get it working by loging into the ftp server and changing a line of code in one of the files.
I still can’t seem to get this working properly.
Step by step this is what I have done in order to try and get it working correctly.
This is the list of the custom user agents I have added in wpsupertouuch, and also added them to the rejected user agents in the advanced settings of the wpsupercache panel –
iPhone
iPod
Android
BB10
BlackBerry
webOS
IEMobile/7.0
IEMobile/9.0
IEMobile/10.0
MSIE 10.0
iPad
PlayBook
Xoom
P160U
SCH-I800
Nexus 7
TouchI tick “mobile device support” in the advanced section of the wpsupercache panel. I also check “enable” for wptouch in the plugins section of the wpsupercache panel.
I go to contents and click “delete expired” and “delete cache” which seems to make it work for a period of time, then it just goes back to the desktop version again.
I am getting really frustrated with this now as I have been trying to get it working for about 6 months, however it seems as if nobody knows how to get it working.
Ok I seem to of gotten the mobile version to show on my mobile by unchecking “mobile device support” in the advanced area of Wp Super Cache, however after I made this change this message was presented at the top of the screen –
For best performance you should enable “Mobile device support” or delete the mobile rewrite rules in your .htaccess. Look for the 2 lines with the text “2.0\ MMP|240×320” and delete those.
This will have no affect on ordinary users but mobile users will see uncached pages. What does this mean? does this mean caching will no longer work for mobile users? Do I need to recheck the “mobile device support” box?
P.S – if I go to the plugins section in Wp Super Cache, the Wp touch box is checked.
Hey Pat,
Thank you very much for the reply! I have been waiting for somebody to reply for some time now.I still seem to be having the same issue in which the desktop version is displayed on my mobile.
It seems as if when I load my website the desktop version is displayed, however if I click on one of the categories the mobile version is displayed. If I then go back to the desktop or any other location on the site other than categories the desktop version is displayed again.
I am trying to view my website on a Samsung Galaxy Fame mobile device at the moment and I have added the following to the “custom user agents” in the wptouch panel, as well as the “rejected user agents” in the wpsupercache panel.
iPhone
iPod
Android
BB10
BlackBerry
webOS
IEMobile/7.0
IEMobile/9.0
IEMobile/10.0
MSIE 10.0
iPad
PlayBook
Xoom
P160U
SCH-I800
Nexus 7
TouchI really don’t know where to go from here and am hoping somebody can help me resolve this issue.
I have not been working on this website as I have been working on other things for the past month, however I am now focusing on this website and need to get it optimized for mobile visitors.
I have been testing the website on my mobile (Samsung Galaxy Fame)and it seems like the mobile version does not work on the desktop, however it oddly seems to work on other pages.
When I load up my site the desktop version appears, however when I click on an internal page it loads the mobile version. If I click the link to go back to the homepage it reloads the desktop version again.
I have added the custom user agents from wptouch into the rejected user agents in wpsupercache but still seem to be encountering the same problem.
I am using wptouch 3.7.9.1 with wpsuper cache 1.4.4 by the way.
