Wow, Michael! I didn’t expect that from you. Thank you so much.

I feel like my hands are tied behind my back, and I’m pecking out the keys with my teeth! That’s how frustrated I am not knowing PHP. I’m a ColdFusion developer. I suppose I need to take the time to understand it if I’m going to be working with WordPress. I see that you’re rearranging the order. How do I get the $cite to the right side of the $image? Is that any easy fix? I would think this would all be done in the div and css. I’m not understanding how this function overrides/controls the positioning.

Thank you. I was hoping I could make a simple modification to the file testimonials-widget.css (which I haven’t been able to locate) or the <div>s in the html – nothing complicated since it should be a simple layout change. I’ll research other options. Thanks so much for the time you’ve given me.

Sorry, I meant to post the URL earlier. Here it is:

I added the CSS that you recommended. Not sure why, but my changes sometimes take a while to reflect even though I refresh and clear the cache. So, it may have worked, and I just can’t see the changes yet.

I was looking to change the layout by placing the image to the bottom left of the author info, so there would need to be two div’s (left image and right author). I’m having trouble finding the testimonials-widget.css file in the directory structure.

    Thank you!

    @tastymonkey and @patrick,

Yes, it was a server file permissions problem. Thank you for your help.

To help others, I’m posting specifics relative to my setup:

    1. browse directory structure
    2. right-click on WordPress directory
    for example, c:/inetpub/wwwroot/WordPress
    3. select Properties
    4. select Security Tab
    5. Internet Guest Account
    6. check box Full Control
    7. Apply and Save changes

    * I’m not sure this is in the best interest of security, so I will be setting it back to the default settings after the upgrades.

It’s the exact same error message (copied and pasted from WordPress) as the previous post which is why I commented on that particular post. It is identical, hence, the identical post with no more to add.

It would be interesting and helpful to find out if the other post is also using a Windows server (another reason I posted on that same post) and perhaps has a similar setup which might help identify the problem. In my 45 years of programming and excellent track-record of error resolution, I have found it often useful to share information between others with identical errors because it helps identify patterns and resolve errors.

I’m also curious if the directory structure (subdirectory versus root) could cause this problem.

I have my own servers, so there is no contacting hosting providers. I was installing WordPress to demo it for a client. I was not able to do the simplest upgrade which is what prompted me to solicit assistance from this forum.

If anyone else would like to post resolutions on this issue, I welcome you to join. I will not take it as impolite. I will take it as helpful and useful and be most appreciative.

Oops. So sorry. Other forums do not have this same etiquette if it is the same topic. It prevents multiple posts of the same topic. Are replies only for solutions, then?

I’m getting the same error and not seeing help in troubleshooting.
