1. Disconnect.
2. Dump all cookies for all time.
3. Go to LinkedIn and sign in.
4. Go to Sharing and connect.It would not authorize without a new sign on cookie from LinkedIn.

I managed to remove the link by putting all of the text between short codes. Deleting everything in the box did not work.
I spoke too soon. It connected yesterday and is back disconnected today.
Thank you for the fix.
Why do I need a NEW connection? Why did the update removed the valid connection I have had for years through numerous updates?
Better still, why is it WP.com’s connection?

The website is 404. There is no email address. This one has an IP switcher. I get about 50 of these a day now.

Garbage, babble, Google translate, passages copied from my About and Welcome pages, wiki passages, E! television reviews. Hardly any have in comment links. Most of the websites are 404. They are all bot and old bots at that.

Almost all of them are on attachment pages for photos and images. 85% of them are knock-off shoes, handbags and sunglasses, despite my blog having never once posted about fashion. (Absolutely not my Earl Grey for a blog.)
All of these quit before 3.6. Whatever changed there gave them all access again.
The number of comments filter is definitely working. I am only seeing the same IP addresses three times before they are gone.

They had the most issues. As long as they were not Gravatar connected, it did not seem to be a problem. (last release)

This really helps if you have users who are absent and forget their login information. They can leave a ton of comments in regular moderation and still be able to comment.
Look for it under Heuristics, second line.

In reply to: [Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin] Help! My site is once again beset my spamAndy, just installed the new pack as a fresh install. I deactivated the old one and deleted via FTP. I cleared my cache afterward and again this morning (and twice during testing last night with GASP removed).
When I installed the pack, it still held my old info, all the way down to the number of bots it had “stopped”. I am quoting “stopped” because about half of them were live friends I had helping me isolate browsers and platforms. I cleared the cache again after install.
While it works perfectly (and the last version did as well) on mobi sites, it was only on computers where the issues arose across most browsers (Chrome, FF, IE, Safari). The only one we did not try last night was Opera.
For now, it appears to be working. I am still concerned the fresh install held my old information. Any ideas why?

In reply to: [Growmap Anti Spambot Plugin] Help! My site is once again beset my spamI noticed the increase when I went to 3.6, but the upgrade came timely. It has created a new issue. The spam is still piling in (secret changing did not help) and now my regular commenters are all listed as spam bots. My email box has exploded with people who have been leaving comments for years who think I have unplugged them.
I deleted, cleared cache and reinstalled. All my old settings (and changed text were there). Any ideas on how to purge it more completely? Should I ftp it out and try again?
It may not help to tell you the errors are not consistent. I have one commenter who could not; I told her refresh; she could. Tonight, I got a friend to test it. She managed to leave one, but her second one was blocked. She used a new email address and was admitted to moderation with no issues.
