Could it be a numbers thing? How many subscribers on average do other users have?
I am pretty certain I updated it from my plugins page via the “update now” button
I am not really worried about my host’s back up. I am just frustrated that updating the plugin, caused me to loose data.
Have tried with the back up files, but my Host company made an error and don’t have any until June.. and the 1,500 subscribers I lost are people that join the list SINCE June.
I guess I will just have to accept the lost numbers and next time, before I do a plugin update remember to download the subscribers first.
I am sure I can get a back up from my host (though not sure how to access the info, without reinstalling an old version of my blog and loosing data since then). But I didn’t understand the rest of your response… what is a subscribe2 table for public subscribers?
I only need the plugin though? And since the last time I bought it, I haven’t bothered you again? Until now? and then I repurchased the plugin – doesn’t that come to the same thing?
Right.. I just bought the plugin again and ahem, then realised I still had it. That was a little silly of me, a bit busy this end.
Having said that. The mail queue plugin WAS activated and people were still getting those 3-9 emails. I have now deactivated it and deleted the plugin and reinstalled it…. what do I need to do to ensure only one email goes out at a time? Do I need to edit it?
Also, I am not sure where I cancel the monthly $10 support thingy?
Thanks
Maggy
PS is it possible to have a non HTML version of the update to go out – maybe one that includes an image?
I thought I would just rebuy the plugin – sometimes easier!!! But when I search for your mail queue plugin and I can’t find it?
Ok.. so my host says
1. Our mailserver isn’t sending the emails multiple times, it’s the script. We just have a standard exim cPanel install
2.It looks like we *have* lifted the hourly email limit on your VDS. Sending 5000 emails at once shouldn’t be an issue with us, as long as the server can cope, and as long as it is to a subscription list.
Does that mean I need to repurchase (as it got deleted when my site was reinstalled after being hacked) your mail queuing plugin?

Setting it to 1 didn’t work. Many not getting it at all and some getting 4 updates. My host ASSURES me, I have no restrictions (i have a premium account with them)?
(thank you)
I have no email limitations set by the host (I have discussed this with them already)
But will make the changes from 0 to 1 and if that doesn’t work, get back to you re the other plugin!
PS I can’t work out how to cancel the support?
As feedback – setting to 300 emails an hour seems to have worked 🙂 My host suggested this, to allow for my “normal mail” to still get through and make up the rest!
