I totally hear what you saying – its similar to the complexities of the Slim Image Cropper plugin I am using to embed images into the PDF – if the settings are not configured just right – the entry will fail. Within that plugin, I can set the image quality and force the images to be cropped in a manner that will reduce file so that things flow smoothly. So with that being said – you pretty much confirmed my original suspicions.
