  • My account is with google-mail. Maybe it blocks emails that do not have a good “from”-information? However the were never marked as spam.

This is a case for the X-files… 😀

edit: darn. why doesn’t the img-tag work? 🙁

Yes, seems to work now 🙂
    Thanks for this 🙂

    Hi,

in gwolle_gb-notifyByMail there is only my id listed. So I guess it should work? However it doesn’t 🙁

With Contact Form 7 I also use my email-address to send out the mails. Works fine.

    Cheers,
    Michael

    Hi Marcel,

first of all: nice work with the plugin. I like it, as it is simple and works fine 🙂

However I haver the same problem with a page I’m working on. Emails from Contact Form 7 and WordPress (password-reset) are well received on my google-mail-address.
Whereas I do not get any guestbook-notifications on my email-address. The address oviously is the same as for the password-reset.

Yes, I’ve checked spam, and the notification isn’t in there as well.

Do you have any idea? Might it be because I have comments globally deactivated? Is there any way to “hard-code” the email-address to notify?

    Looking forward to your help,
    Michael

    Yes, awesome. This worked 🙂

However I think there is a small bug/glitch in the theme regarding this.

    – The checkbox “show post details” was deactivated
    – I needed to activate the “show post details” checkbox
    – then I could select the correct settings like “deactivate showing update-date” etc.
    – this lead to the intended result of NOT showing the details.

My understanding was that with NOT having the first checkbox activated i would NOT see the details.
To fully configure if details should be shown, I first needed to say “yes, I want to show details” and then can customize that I do not want to show any details. That makes the first checkbox more or less useless 🙂
I find that a bit misleading.

But thanks to your help it worked out fine 🙂
