All works fine now.Same here and downgraded my sites again due to being very slow as well after the update with this error.
Did not test a new update again yet.
Deactivating all plugins did not resolve the issue.
Emptying cache either.
All requirements on the server are up to date.

More work and I really would like the previous way of adding urls back, because all my links to external sites I want to be opened in a new page unless internal links to pages of my own site.Please make it undone again WordPress.
