Okay … what we tried …

    – Author made a new account to test if the same problem occurs, and yes it’s the same.
    – User says he has no extensions or adblockers in his Chrome browser.
    – User used hotmail email address so we tried a gmail email address with another new test-account … same problem.

I guess the user isn’t a pc freak (nerd) like me and does something wrong because …

    – I asked him to open the website in another browser, login and try again commenting under an article and guess what … I worked!

So … the user can’t comment in the Chrome browser but can comment in the Firefox browser! That’s strange because I also use the Chrome browser and don’t have any problems at all. So it must have something to do with extensions or adblocker, right?

Oh well … I know a lot about this things, but this one is bigger than myself I guess. 😛

Thanks anyway for the help. Problem solved (partial).

The Error message he gets is:

“Please fill in name and email to comment.”

But that doesn’t make any sense, no? He is logged in to the website and he is author.

I did try everything for 1 day. Messed around in the code but the thing never did what it is supposed to do. I couldn’t get it working either.

    Issue with Jetpack is resolved.

It was my first impression that it’s a Jetpack related problem. But also me doesn’t want to work without Jetpack.

I could try that, yes. Right now I’m on the train so it’ll be for later on the evening.
It’s strange though that the problem occurred without any changing of the blog itself. Without any structural change. And I’m using the Twenty twelve theme.
    I’ll try the Twenty Eleven.
I will come back to it.

Thanks for the reply, but it doesn’t help. In the meanwhile I’ve solved the problem by reinstalling a new wordpress with the same name and URL. Then I’ve imported my last backup and everything’s fine now.
This isn’t the way it should go, but it works.
I don’t think that it was a theme issue because everything went fine before the problem occurred. I haven’t installed any update of WordPress itself, so that couldn’t be the problem either. When I tried to change the theme to a basic theme like “Twenty Eleven” or even “Twenty Ten” or “Twenty Twelve” I got the same message: “cheating huh?”
Strange. Also with all plugins deactivated, even deleted the problem stayed just the same.

Since a week or so I have the same problem. I already tried with deactivating all plugins, but that doesn’t work for me. Nothing changes.
Also when I try to go back to the Twenty Eleven theme, I got the same message: “Vals aan het spelen?”, “Are you cheating?”. With every theme I install I get the same message.
Somebody who knows what to do? When I try Googling this problem I always end up here in the forum-issue. 😛 But I don’t have an answer for my problem.
