I am NOT a programmer, just an user of WordPress.

Here are some suggestions for new features for Post Snippets that would be useful:

    • The ability to sort the Post Snippets is what is most needed for users with large snippets
    • If the user could click and drag the individual snippet to sort the order would be useful.
    • Maybe 10 definable labels which could be used to sort the snippets.
    • A sort button – name – label – date . . . etc
    • The definable labels could also be layered tab pages. Layering the snippets could reduce the size of the popup window.
    • The labels or tabs could be colour coded.
    • A link to switch from full view (all snippets – what you have now) or tab view.
    • A layered TAB view would eliminate scrolling
    • A snippet counter – display the number of snippets near the top of the screen.
    • If the Snippets could be exported as an EXCEL file allowing the user to add, delete and modify in EXCEL and upload. Or some other type of file.
    • For people with large amounts of snippets, the above features would be an asset.
    • When someone Exports their snippets if the file name would add the date automatically ie:
      post-snippets-export-2014-06-13.zip
      post-snippets-export-2014-06-14.zip
      post-snippets-export-2014-06-15.zip

I do have a large selection. I imported a copy of the exported snippets from Feb 2014. I started to add a few since Feb until it stopped letting me change things and did this many times to isolate problem snippets. I recently updated a snippet with some new postcard retailers. I was not able save or add after that.

Some snippets that had <em> </em> were stopping me from updating.
I removed all <em> </em> from all snippets.(may have been something else)

Some snippets that had a WOO Commerce short code were causing problems. (may have been something else)

This caused a problem. Specifying the margins may be a problem
    <div align="center"><img <strong>style="margin-top: 5px; margin-bottom: 8px;"</strong> alt="arrow-bar[1]" src="http://whiterockbeach.ca/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/arrow-bar1.gif" width="400" height="6" /></div> <strong>[product_category category="postcards" per_page="100" order="SKU"]</strong>

I have it working right now. I just emailed my provider to change the php.ini file and change the max_input_vars value from 1000 to 2000.

I have some ideas for features for Post Snippets I will put in a separate post.

EXPORTING YOUR Post Snippets as dated backup might help you go back to a time when things were working and maybe trouble-shoot what caused a problem like I did.

    Thanks for helping!

Another issue is I cannot delete any existing Snippets.
