Actually, I think it might be a false alarm. Perhaps a caching plugin was interfering, because it seems to be working now. I’ll test some more before I do bulk renaming, and I’ll let you know if the problem recurs.

I don’t think it’s worth making a staging site for this issue alone, as it seems a bit complicated, but thanks a lot – I didn’t know this was possible, I’ll definitely have a crack at it next time I’m making a bunch of new design changes.

In reply to: [Moesia] Static front page content areaUpdate: I managed to get it working with a hacky child version of front-page.php, but it doesn’t look so good on smaller screens. If you happen to know of a more elegant solution, let me know – otherwise I’ll mark the topic resolved.
