In reply to: [ImageMagick Engine] EXIF dataIf you select resize mode “quality” for the image sizes the EXIF-data will be kept. So I’m thinking the admin option you are asking for is already there?
Resize mode “size” is for the purpose of at the same time making the image sizes as small as possible and then the EXIF-data should be stripped.

No, settings are not saved to file and the settings page can be accessed eve if DISALLOW_FILE_MODS is set to true. So that cannot be the real source to the issue.
Version 1.8.0 is in the pipeline and will be release soon. That release fixes this. Sorry for the delay!

Was this after a plugin update? The plugin checks for WP user capability “install_plugins” to be able to access the settings page.
