In reply to: [Autoptimize] Above the fold optimization breaks my responsivenessFrank, thanks for getting back to me so soon!
1. Firstly when loading the homepage, normally you’ll see the loading icon spinning for a short while and after that the content of css3panels will show up. On some devices (as described before) the content does not show up, the loading icon endlessly keeps spinning.
2.I believe that the Google Analytics JS problem is solved right now? Probably because I disabled the plugin as you told me to.
3. I have disabled the plugin but it does not affect the loading issue. Should I remove it and it files completely?
Any other thoughts?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Above the fold optimization breaks my responsivenessFrank, Thanks that worked like a charm!
Now a new problem has come to my attention. I use an element called CSS3panels on my home page as a slider thingy.
This element keeps infinitely loading when using Safari on my iMac and two iPhones, but strangely enough, it does work on my MacBook with Safari or with any other browser its no problem at all. I’ve been trying to find out what the cause is. When I disable the above the fold optimization option in autoptimize it starts working again.
Its really strange because I believe it worked before with the above the fold optimization option enabled.
Before I got in touch with you, I already had a problem with the layout of the CSS3panels. I then excluded css3panels.css from optimization (as I’d read in the FAQ) which solved the problem. I later included CSS3panels again, when the problem seemed to had fixed itself.
When the current problem came to my attention I excluded CSS3panels.css from optimization, again. This did not solve my problem.
I really hope that you can help me out again.
Thanks in advance!

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Above the fold optimization breaks my responsivenessHi Frank,
I’ve been spending some time trying to find documentation on (1), how to add extra CSS in a widget. I’ve only been able to find information on how to change the looks of a widget using CSS. Do you have any documentation I could look into? I’ve never heard from this method before.
Thanks in advance.

In reply to: [Autoptimize] Above the fold optimization breaks my responsivenessFrank,
Wow! That actually solved my problem! You’re a hero ;-). Thanks a lot!
May I ask you two additional questions regarding autoptimize?
1. When I include bootstrap-responsive.css my buttons turn to a red color. Is there any other way to change that or should I just keep the file excluded from optimization? (It would only speed up my site a bit more, but it still is a bit 😉 )
2. In the past I have excluded jquery-ui.css from optimization because I thought that was the solution to one of my problems. It wasn’t, so I included the file again. Google PageSpeed Insights suggests that I should minify this file, but it should be autoptimized because it isn’t excluded anymore? How can I optimize the file again?
Thank you so much in advance, again!

I tried your solution. I tried to use the critical path css from the responsive version of the site and I have also tried them combined. This did not solve my problem. It even messed up the layout of the desktop version at worst. I should say that I have excluded bootstrap-responsive.css from optimization. If I do not exclude bootstrap-responsive.css my buttons turn to red. lol. But I have also tried the solution with bootstrap-responsive.css included.Do you have any other ideas to solve the problem?
Currently the site is running the way it was before. (With the old critical path css).
Alvast bedankt.
