Any page, post or link he tried to add to the top navigation menu resulted either in a timeout or an error that the website could not respond. Chrome wording.
I disabled plugins one by one to find the problema and when I disabled this one, the error went away. It made no sense to me since it had been working previously.
Theme is Newspaper by tagdiv.

I’m comfortable editing php and took a quick look to see if I could change this but no luck.
To be clear: I want to remove the get_the_author_meta(‘display_name’), I think, from the custom post type and also the date, although that’s less important.

In reply to: Frozen widgets and missing post's editorI’ve just had the same problem resolved by installing Use Google Libraries plugin. Instant problem-solve.
Symptoms before:
Flyout menus wouldn’t work.
Widgets could not be edited or moved.
Visual editor would not load.Troubleshooting:
1. Did a manual re-install
Did not help
2. Deleted install, deleted database, started over, re-downloaded WordPress, edited fresh config file, uploaded, reinstalled.
Did not helpI have 5 other installs running on the same VPS but this is the first time I’ve installed 3.4.1 from scratch.

Switched to subfolders and it works fine.
would really prefer subdomains, though.
1. I upgraded the plugin via the WordPress Update Plugins fucntion.
2. WordPress 3.2.1
3. Tons of plugins, too many to list.

dick_ meant he wanted a line break after the image which doesn’t seem possible with either of these plugins.
I would like a line break after the thumb, too.
that update hasn’t fixed the issue for me. I’ll use headspace for google analytics from now on.

In reply to: RSS feed won’t show Full TextSorry, but I am having the same problem. Have attempted to read the feed in Google Reader, Feedly, NetnewsWire, bloglines. Still shows only summaries. Unsubscribed, then subscribed. Same.
I’m using feedburner but the service for providing summaries instead of full text is not active. I triple-checked this as well as quadruple-checked whether or not the wp 2.6 setting was specifying full-text. it is.
I also see several posts in the forums with this problems and so far the first two pages of them indicate the issue is unresolved.
suggestions? plug-in conflict?

From your reply, I’m inferring I have to hand-edit some other file? Sorry, I know very little about WordPress. Just trying to follow instructions. 🙂
And yes, I uploaded both the Lightview and Smooth and Shutter plugins. Those effects show up as options in the NextGen effects menu but selecting them and saving causes the galleries to lose all javascript effects.
I’ve tried experimenting having one activated while the other is not but it doesn’t help.
