I didn’t spot this at first as I use Chrome as my main browser. As this has a shortened address bar it does not display the full URL unless you scroll across.
This is proving very useful…thanks again.
I’ve kind of solved my own problem by peeking into the database and using the term_id field. This now displays categories just as I want them, so thank you.
So, my next question is, would it be possible to display the cat_id within the WordPress admin ‘Categories’ page (…or is it already there and I’m missing it…?)

I’m new to WordPress and have been looking for a way to add categories to my notices. This solution looks ideal, however, I can’t get it to display anything.
I’ve set up some categories and assigned notices to some of these categories, but whatever I put in cat_id I simply get the message “No notices yet.”.
So, how do I find the cat_id…?
