Sorry, I just realized that I had posted this a few months back under another username (@dixcrx). I ended up “resolving” the issue by reverting to an old version of PHP, but eventually I was forced to used a newer version.
What I have found out this time is that the hosting provider says that they do not use a caching application and there isn’t one on the site side either.
