The workaround for this could be:
1. Create attribute and name it Variant
2. Define taxonomie for attribute Variant: Vatiant1, Variant2, Variant3
3. Set attribute for your 3 products but each with different value. First with Variant1 value, second with Variand2 and last with Variant3. For each product set “Is Visible” to false for attribute Variant (this attribute will not be visible on front page)
4. For each product assign the same tag name, e.g My product
5. Go to Linked Variation->Add New
6. Set title: My Product
7. In configuration choose “Tag” and fill with your tag name e.g. My product
8. From the list of attribute select Variant attribute and check “Show image” option
9. Publish

Hi, exactly the same question here. How to use select type? I tried to use wpc swatches but it only supports button, color and image.

Also we have the same problem with two attributes, it for one color it directs to the wrong products. For example for color black it is ok (all types directs to color black) but wjean change to white only the first type is white and the rest still directs to the black ones.
