In reply to: Update to 4.6 failed, site no longer accessibleBy the way, is it possible for me to downgrade to 4.5.3 at this point? At one point the database was updated, but I don’t know exactly what the implications are. If a downgrade is ok to do, it may potentially put me back where I was before attempting the upgrade to 4.6? Can I make things worse by trying?

In reply to: Update to 4.6 failed, site no longer accessibleUpdate: I went ahead and renamed the theme folder, and now I can get to the dashboard, and the theme has been reset to the default. Looks like some corruption has occurred with my custom theme? If you can help me figure out what to do, that would be great. Thanks.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare the_post_thumbnail_caption() (previously declared in /homepages/32/d169286794/htdocs/MACAMD/wp-includes/post-thumbnail-template.php:244) in /homepages/32/d169286794/htdocs/MACAMD/wp-content/themes/template4/functions.php on line 685
If I rename the active theme folder, will changing the name back make it an available option again? It is a custom theme that I didn’t create, so I want to be careful. Hopefully I am closer?? My plugins folder is still named plugins.hold. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
