    Sure, understand Roch.

Just for the record I got round giving the players too many options in wp-admin by pasting a hyperlink to the Events section of SportsPress into the footer of the Events page using the Text widget; that way I can hide the WordPress toolbar when viewing site. I made the Text widget visible only on the Events page using the Widget Visibility setting in Jetpack. I used the Screen Options to strip out everything but the Results from the Events page and then removed as many menus as I could from wp-admin using User Role Editor. Thanks very much to SportsPress for their blog “33 Useful WordPress Plugins for Sports Team Websites”; really useful.

Thanks again, Roch. An idea for a future version of SportsPress maybe. But thanks very much for your support; much appreciated.

Thanks Roch. That was useful; I’ve followed the steps and set up a few user role Players.

Am I right in thinking the way for players to update scores is
    – Administrator adds an event list to a webpage
    – Player clicks via the event list into the event
    – Player clicks Edit Event in the Dashboard bar at the top of the screen
    – Player enters scores and clicks update
    – Player clicks View Site to return to the website

Or am I missing a trick to edit the scores directly in the website?

Allowing members to up update their scores would be great. I’m looking for a sports plug-in to run 12 squash leagues of 6 players each. Entering 60 scores is a pain for me and takes away from the enjoyment of players being able to see the immediate results and league positions of their games.
