In reply to: Lost links between categories and posts after upgradeMichaelH,
I’ve done the above, and now, when I click a category or page, get a Firefox error message that says:
The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

In reply to: Lost links between categories and posts after upgradeDidn’t work, but thanks MichaelH.
I just realized that when I click any of the categories or pages, a blank page loads to the url mydomain.com/blog/page/2. Just screwing around, I removed /blob/ and that resolves to a 404 error. Any significance?

In reply to: Lost links between categories and posts after upgradeI’ve tried all of the above and no luck. (and as you’ll see from the dates of the posts, I’m taking this slowly).
To describe my issues again:
WordPress loads. I’ve got it set up so that complete posts are shown on the home page. Something like 10 posts show up as you page down, at which point a “previous entries” link presents. That link doesn’t work.
None of the “categories” links work.
None of the “page” links work.
The database contains all of the posts and pages and I can access them through the WP admin interface and see them in the db.
I’ve turned off all plugins, and repaired the db.
Any ideas?

In reply to: I screwed up URL somehowThanks for the directions to the instructions.
item #9 rang all the bells loudly. As soon as I made that change, all was well.
9. Change the following [in index.php at the root] and save the file. Change the line that says:
require(‘./wp-blog-header.php’);
to the following, using your directory name for the WordPress core files:
require(‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’);I was so burnt out I could have missed that for days. Thanks again.

In reply to: Can’t loginI too have this problem but with enhancements. There is so much traffic on this condition that I wonder if we don’t have a 2.6.3 reinstall bug here.
My topic: (with no replies): “Upgraded, now can’t login to admin AND articles missing”
I would say that the issue described by me and posters above is not resolved.

A long time ago I used to say to my colleagues, I am not a command line guy, and it’s so true.
Hey, you wouldn’t be able to help, would you?

In reply to: Screwed up upgrade fron Yahoo 2.0.2 to latestYep, I’ve successfully reverted.
This time I’ll try upgrading using the upgrade plugin.
Thanks and, as Roseanna Roseanna Danna used to say, “never mind.”

In reply to: Screwed up upgrade fron Yahoo 2.0.2 to latestOh, shit. I may have fixed it, at least to the extent of getting back to the old version.
