Thank you for catching this. I was under the impression that the title was linked to the website for that event, not a page my own.

Since I’m not maintaining a separate event page and only want to display events in the sidebar, I unchecked the Link to Title setting and added back the More Info hotlinked to the event site.

Great plugin, now that I’ve finally figured out what I’m doing!

Where do I place the shortcode?

Do I place it in one of the widget fields? (that’s what I had to do with another plugin).

If so, which field? I tried the Information field, but all that did was display that actual characters of the short code in the sidebar.

I added the codes to the Before / After (Year headline) and hit update.

But unfortunately, that didn’t do anything – not even display the years in a bold or larger font. I do know a little basic coding, and made sure the off switch was in the right place.

so now, I just want to be sure that I’ve installed this plugin correctly.

1) I added a text widget to the sidebar, then entered [SimpleYearlyArchive] to the text box and saved it.

2) Then I removed the default Archives widget from the sidebar. I was supposed to do that, right?

Anyhow, thanks for trying make this work. Let me know if you think of anything else.

That solution worked as far as displaying in the sidebar.

But I’d like to have the years set to collapsible and display vertically. What I’ve found so far is that if the years are set to collapsible, they display horizontally. The only way I found to get the years to display vertically is to turn off the collapsible function.

Is there any way to get both functions? Vertical display AND collapsible?
