OK, I checked the box. Anyone Can Register at WordPress Blog > Settings > General
But there is a note, “when a new user registers, they will be placed in the forum User Group designated by you on the Forum – Usergroups – Map Users to Usergroups panel and it is recommended that this be set up and checked prior to enabling site registrations.”
How does one deal with this?
In the Forum> Login & Registration Member Registration box says:
Your site is currently not set to allow users to register. Click on the help icon for details of how to turn this on. If I click on help it says, “No Login” The RPX 3rd Party Login box is not enabled. Is Janrain the only option here?
