I haven’t tried a plugin yet because they all seem to require youtube, and I’m trying to skip that step. If I do have to do that, I’d love a recommendation for a plug-in that’s simple to use and reliable.

I am having the same problem. I use Jetpack with my WordPress and have subscriptions with another company. I update whenever I’m told to. My subscribers always received an email when a new post went up. Suddenly: Nada. My blog is blog.ronarecommends.com. I am so frustrated. I keep thinking that maybe I accidentally changed a settging but I have combed through page after page and see nothing to tinker with. Please walk me through a solution. http://blog.ronagindin.com/

Am open to other ideas too.
