In reply to: [WooCommerce] 10.8.0 Update ErrorI decided to update other sites to version 10.8.0 but I also see that it is missing from the repository. Why?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] error during the update from version 10.7.0 to version 10.8.0Thanks for the answer! For myself, I solved this problem like this: Just try to download the woocommerce plugin directory from your website’s directory and compare it line by line with the plugin files that you need to download from the official website: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/woocommerce/
I used an OPEN SOURCE utility called MELD. It checks the files from two directories line by line. If the files are identical, there is no problem. This program is available for both Linux and Windows.
I don’t see the point in uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling it if the plugin directory from your hosting is completely identical to the plugin that is downloaded from the official woocommerce website. The woocommerce developers have provided an explanation for this issue: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/10-8-0-update-error/page/2/#post-18920626

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 10.8.0 Update ErrorI ignored the error at the time, but then I compared the plugin files from my website with the zip file of the plugin that I downloaded from your website. They are completely identical. I used the MELD utility in Linux to compare them. It compared the files line by line and found no differences. However, it is strange that this is happening. Do you have any ideas about why the error is occurring if the files are identical?
Why do I receive an error email if the plugin files are updated correctly?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] 10.8.0 Update ErrorI have a similar error
Unfortunately, replacing the target URL in the original plugin does not work.
Thanks, I’ll just try to copy the plugin and change the target URL for connecting to the API. I think this is the easiest option.
@shahzeenfarooq Thanks, I didn’t know that was possible. The database matches. Thanks again for the great plugin)
@shahzeenfarooq Thank you, everything works correctly. I just ignored this error that occurs during plugin updates. I tested the site, and I don’t see any issues. However, it’s strange that I haven’t received any automatic database updates. Is this normal? Additionally, I’ve noticed that I haven’t received any WOO database updates on all my sites for several months, even though I used to receive them frequently. Should I be concerned about this? Or is it not a problem if everything is functioning properly?
Good afternoon. I have ignored the error that occurs during the update. It seems to be related to accessing a file that no longer exists during the update. I have compared the plugin files using the meld utility, and they are identical to the zip file that I downloaded from this website. Thank you.
I also find this complex update method somewhat strange. But If there are a lot of sites, or do they belong to customers and there is no certainty about the result? Why is the standard update suddenly not working properly? What difference does it make if the update file is downloaded in the standard (automatic) way or if you have to download it yourself?
Exactly The Same. Why developers don’t want to acknowledge the problem and offer complex update mechanisms that don’t work. I was also waiting for a solution to this problem in the update, but I did not wait. Meanwhile, there are dozens of posts on the forum with the same type of answers, which are written using AI.
