I figured it out – I am hosted by Go Daddy and after reading many more feeds I noticed that a few people mentioned deleting the plug in or problem in their file manager at the hosting end. So I did that – I logged into my Go Daddy hosting and found the plug in that I had installed ( it showed the date that I did it so I knew it was the right one) and then I deleted the plug in. Still in my hosting panel I was able to access my word press dashboard. All is good. I am very happy I was able to resolve this on my own. Thanks for your response.
