Hi,
I now see a very different problem when saving settings. Just a blank page save for the following message:
“Not Acceptable!
An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.”I think this isn’t this plugin’s fault though and almost certainly a hosting problem.
I’ll look into it and update if I find out more. Thanks for all your help,
Roy.
Remains a problem after the recent update (2.1.5).
GDPR rules require that a user must make an active step to expressly consent to non necessary plugins. Leaving them activated and expecting the user to turn them off is not compliant.
This doesn’t appear to be possible with the above configuration, at least with the free version of this plugin.
If I remove the <script> and </script> tags, it IS able to save. I don’t think this is correct though (at least, the UI hints that you need to include them.
Changing the script to
<script>console.log(‘Added to head’)</script>
and I still see the problem.- This reply was modified 6 years, 10 months ago by roystoliday.
I just checked in dev mode and I see the following errors:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set property ‘value’ of null
at cli_store_settings_btn_click (cookie-law-info-admin.js?ver=1.7.8:265)
at HTMLInputElement.onclick (edit.php?post_type=cookielawinfo&page=cookie-law-info-thirdparty:289)
edit.php?post_type=cookielawinfo&page=cookie-law-info-thirdparty:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 406 ()Thank you for your help, sorry, I found that setting now. My fault I didn’t realise I had to enable analytics this way.
I disabled Monster Insights plugin and got my Global Site Tag from Analytics directly.
I added this to the HEAD section in ‘Non-necessary Cookie’ and click ‘Update Settings’.
I get a small orange message pop up:“Unable to update Settings.”
I tried to reload the page before this, and also to log out and in again from WordPress. Still the same message “Unable to update Settings.”
Can you suggest anything else I should try?
I just checked and certainly the Google Analytics dashboard is showing the session as connected and active, so clearly the analytics are still active.
