    Sorted – this was being caused by DIVI and was fixed by disabling “enable responsive images”

    Hi Steven, thanks for your response. I saw on another post on here someone having a similar issue, except they said removing the prefix of the URL opened the picture within the browser like normal. However, when I tried this it still displayed the 404 page which showed me the images no longer exist in the library. Because of this, disabling jetpack didn’t change anything as the images are gone.

    Weirdly enough it’s only images from 29th May – 30th September that are effected. Out of these, there’s a few that are fine but the vast majority have been deleted. We have also uploaded a pages’ worth of images since then which are all fine.

    I’m assuming, because of this, there will be no way to recover the lost images which is annoying and we will have to reupload and insert everything manually. Sorry, this probably isn’t much help, but it’s all the information I have right now.
