Thanks so much for getting back to me. I’m pretty sure I don’t have a page with a jobs slug either and when I go to that page the Edit Page option in the title-bar disappears suggesting to me that it isn’t a ‘page’.
I just did as you suggest with the permalinks, but no noticeable change.
Since my last message to you I tried a live-preview with a different theme and the jobs are shown on the jobs page as we expect. So I continue to suspect the theme – but I’ve no idea how to further diagnose the problem. I don’t really want to be embarking on a new theme without understanding the issue, so if you have any ideas or pointers they would be gratefully received.

I’ve resolved some of this, though I’m not entirely sure how.
The problem I still have is as the title of this topic – my jobs page lists news items only, with the title Archives. I don’t have a page called Jobs or Archives so I don’t know where this is coming from – any ideas?
Is this a Theme issue? I’m using Dano theme.
