thank you, that is the issue – which is easyly solved by using the compact version of captcha – see inital post for that.
Depending on the theme and how bad the code is, this can break page design.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.
Saw your video, try making the responsive window smaller than 400px – I usually dont design for anything smaller than 320 but once you go down to that scale, the captcha form element dosen’t rezise and breaks the rest of the page layout.
It can off course be discussed if this is a fringe use case 😉
Nevermind, the caption is always inserted automatically when you insert the image and you have to manually remove it from the inserted image, in order to not show up in the frontend.
A little UX thing – I still think turning of both settings should mean it doesnt get shown.
