In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Disables emoji support onlySome people have also confused emoji’s with emoticons (the little images that appear when you type :), ;), 😛 etc.). But they are quite different.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Disables emoji support onlyNo, not at all. The plugin description says “This plugin disables the new emoji functionality in WordPress 4.2.”. Support for emoji’s is in your browser, WordPress simply adds additional functionality to display them in older browsers.
It would be really good if you could change your review rating, as the plugin is most likely doing exactly what it claims it will do 😉
Thanks 🙂

In reply to: [Taxonomy Metadata] WordPress 4.4 fatal errorNo, Thomas was discussing database changes, not file changes.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Disables emoji support onlyThis plugin does not disable emoji’s on your site, that is in fact not possible. It disables the extra support added by WordPress.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] database error: table taxonomymeta doesn't existUghh, I stuck this in my work calendar instead of my personal calendar, and so I didn’t see it until now sorry :/ I will try to get to it this evening.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] database error: table taxonomymeta doesn't existSorry if this is a bug by me BTW (sounds like it is). I thought this was totally bug-free based on the testing I did, but I guess I missed some stuff :/

In reply to: [Unique Headers] database error: table taxonomymeta doesn't existPaul, it sounds like your are being tripped up by the same problem as Ruud. I’m not sure why it would be causing any problems, as it was working fine when I tested it, but I guess I made a mistake somewhere :/
The code that will be causing this issue is in the legacy.php file. If you remove the last action hook there, which attaches unique_header_wpdbfix to init, that SHOULD fix it I think.
I’m hectically busy for the next 24 hours so don’t have time to work on this myself right now sorry.
If it fixes it, just update your site and let me know it worked here. I’ll make sure the next release includes the fix (probably to be released on Friday night or Saturday).

In reply to: [Unique Headers] database error: table taxonomymeta doesn't existRuud, sorry, I don’t think I got a notification about your comment last week. I will look into this as soon as possible (probably within the next 24 hours).
I suspect removing that action hook from the legacy.php file will solve your problem. I’m not sure why it would be causing problems, but it sounds like you are probably correct.
Thanks for your assistance 🙂

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Extend plugin to change Logo as wellThere is no standardised WordPress way of doing logos, so for that reason this is not possible. Headers are standardised, so the plugin knows what and how to manipulate things, but it wouldn’t for a custom logo setup.
You would need a custom plugin which caterered to however your unique logo system works. You could potentially fork the Unique Headers code into a separate plugin to do it.
