In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] unhooking wrong filters?Hi khromov,
Sorry, but I didn’t realise I hadn’t replied to this thread after a change of plan.Since I posted here, many people asked me to keep supporting the plugin, so I have and am no longer recommending people use the Classic Smilies plugin instead.

In reply to: [Hellish Simplicity] Needless scrollbar posts too narrowYes, just add it to a stylesheet.
I can think of three options for this:
(1) Make a child theme which adds that CSS
(2) Change the themes name and add it to the style.min.css file (you need to change the themes name to avoid your changes being overwritten during a theme upgrade)
(3) Use a plugin which lets you add CSS to your siteForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Unique Headers] Unique Header Not WorkinThe best I can suggest then, is to modify the theme to support the WordPress header system, or to ask the theme developer to add support for it.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Unique Header Not WorkinThe plugin works. The reason it is not working for you is mostly likely because your theme does not use the WordPress header system.
Are you using an downloadable theme? If so, please post a link to it here so that I can take a look and confirm that it does not support the WordPress header image system.

In reply to: [Hellish Simplicity] Needless scrollbar posts too narrowThanks for finding this. The scrollbar issue is triggered by the YARPP plugin. It is expanding the size of the containing box and forcing the scroll bars into place.
I suspect removing overflow:auto may trigger other problems. I added that a very long time ago for specific reasons. I am going to look into removing it at some point, as it may not be necessary now due to most people dropping support for older browsers.
I’ve created a GitHub issue regarding this, and provided a simple solution for it there:

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Works great! That is a strange, yet interesting use of WordPress.
Perhaps you should disable the wp_head() and wp_footer() functions then too, as that would stop any future JS from appearing in your emails.
I’m glad to hear you found the plugin useful 🙂

The plugin should not be in core, but the emoji support itself should not be in core IMO … a subtle but important difference 🙂

In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Excellent user experienceWell I normally roll my eyes when I see WordPress sites with e-commerce capabilities, so it’s nice to see something which doesn’t make cringe for once 🙂

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] quick and easyYeah, I was a little surprised it didn’t have a simple way to turn it off.
I keep looking at ways to monetize this plugin, by adding some sort of extension plugin or creating a “premium” version. But my attempts to do that haven’t proved very fruitful. I’ve been trying a bunch of alternative ways to block extreme spam, and although they work on their own, they don’t seem to be blocking anything beyond what the free plugin does :/
