Well this is the best review I’ve seen so far π Thank you!
I can actually think of problems with it myself, but I will get those fixed in time π

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Yes!Yeah, I don’t think anyone has a problem with utf8mb4. That change makes sense.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] GreatI think not putting that stuff in core would have been much better than add extra code to remove it later π

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Yes!It doesn’t even disable emoji’s per se either. I need to document that better. It just disables the extra JS bloat added to support emoji’s in older browsers.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Different than disable Writing settings? It seems that I need to improve the plugin documentation. I thought some of this was obvious, but it only seems to be obvious to those who noticed all the extra junk added to their site(s) recently.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Thank youI live in Germany where they are ΓΌber careful with privacy issues. I suspect many people disable all of that functionality here. But I suspect many people don’t realise it’s happening, and are unwittingly sending back information they had not intended :/
I’ve also worked on some high security projects with which require all interactions with external systems to be blocked.

In reply to: [Simple Colorbox] Not working anymoreYour site seems to be quite messed up. If you view the console, you will see that a ton of files are not loading.
It’s too hard to debug your issue with so many other problems on the page. I suspect once you fix all the other problems, the Colorbox will begin working again. It will likely be a JavaScript problem in another part of your site which is interfering with the plugin.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Thank youI’ve worked on projects where disabling tracking by ww.wp.xz.cn was necessary for legal and privacy reasons. Other than that, I never bother disabling that functionality. It’s useful for ww.wp.xz.cn to know what’s going on.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Thank youSomeone should make a plugin which does that by utilizing the TMG plugin activation library to include them via the “Bullshit Remover” plugin. That may be quite popular if someone made it.
