In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Thank you very muchYeah, I’m not convinced that adding unwanted JavaScript to everyone’s sites was a good idea either.
I’m glad to hear you find the plugin useful 🙂

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Thank-youI don’t think WordPress should have an option for this, as that would just add bloat to the UI. I’d rather it was simply not added at all and required a plugin to implement it.
Glad to hear this plugin does what you need though 🙂

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Thanks for your hard workI don’t think a setting is a good idea as that just adds bloat. I don’t think it should have been added in the first place, but thankfully it’s not too hard to disable.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Thanks WordPressNo problemo 🙂
I’m guessing some people find them useful, or they wouldn’t be in core. On the bright side, it looks like much of this junk can be removed in time, whilst still supporting emoji’s. So perhaps in 5 years or so this plugin will become redundant and core can get rid of the extra cruft whilst still supporting emoji’s.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Must use plugin for all sitesGlad to hear you find it useful 🙂
I unfortunately find I have to write a lot of plugins to remove functionality from both core and other plugins. I wish people would keep crap simple as it would make my life a lot easier :/
