In reply to: [Spam Destroyer] BuddyPress CompatibilityIt’s been a while since I investigated, so I can’t remember the specifics, but there was something about BuddyPress which made it behave differently to how I would expect. I suspect developers just find that frustrating. Having to support a specific plugin is quite annoying. Having said that, I would like to add confirmed support at some point.
Your questions here is prompting me to think more about doing it actually, particularly since you say there aren’t any viable free plugins for this task.

In reply to: [Spam Destroyer] BuddyPress CompatibilityI’m saying I believe it will work with some aspects of comment spam within BuddyPress, but I can’t remember exactly what sorry. I’ll need to spend some time looking into it and bbPress at some point.
There was originally support for both added to the plugin, but too many features were missing or not working well, so I removed them until I find time to implement them properly.

In reply to: [Spam Destroyer] BuddyPress CompatibilityIt does not automatically work with some parts of BuddyPress. I need to sit down and work through all the parts of BuddyPress some time and see where it can be implemented better.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Plugin works ok.Those are smilies, not emojis. They are similar but different.
It would be great if you could remove your review since it seems you were basing your review on something different.

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Error when custom header is same as post thumbnail?I tried to replicate this now, but failed. My test site has a page with a customer header set, and I injected the featured thumbnail into the content area. But that featured image has the correct URLs set, including for the srcset attributes.

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Plugin works ok.I’m not sure what you mean by old and normal emoji’s. The plugin removes the script which adds emoji support in browsers. I don’t know of any old emoji’s.
Can you show me an example of what you are describing so that I can investigate?

In reply to: [Disable Emojis (GDPR friendly)] Plugin works ok.This seems unlikely since 80,000 others are using it just fine. What do you feel is not working correctly?

In reply to: [Unique Headers] Error when custom header is same as post thumbnail? This is a fascinating bug you’ve potentially found there. I don’t have time to tackle this immediately, but I’ve given myself a note to deal with this in the next day or two. If I don’t respond here, feel free to pester me as this sounds like something which should be fixed.
