Thanks for this. Are you going to and this functionality to the plugin? Meaning…. So I can do it in a friendly GUI environment.

Also. do you suggest a way to implement the speakable schema type? Is this something you planned on implementing?

I don’t care what it looks like under the covers for the most part. Most HTML on the web looks pretty bad.

My question here revolves around ease-of-use when I’m editing blog post.

    Will do . Thanks.

I can’t believe this entire time I thought that was a default WordPress editor presenting the font selection.

Huh? I do have the classic editor installed but I’m trying to learn block nuance since the WP universe is going in this new direction.

Hmm. Where is this coming from then? Perhaps this has been coming from a plugin all along?

Yes I am, however, they do not support this natively which is why I’m asking here.

it’s something I would need to develop or find a plug-in to do.

    Thank you for your time.

Innovating without the need for innovation is exactly what’s going on here.

if the block editor actually made any type of positive difference for the average user, then it might be a good thing. It doesn’t. It’s a horrible thing that it’s going to be the default.

I feel like I am going back to netobjects fusion or something ridiculous.

It’s unbelievable that I am now using a system where I have to create a new block for a number list…. Or when I paste multiple paragraphs of text it puts them into multiple blocks. How do I wrap text around an image now?

Its like they have gone back 25 or 30 years and technology.

Were people actually complaining about the old editor? I really do not understand this change.

sure I can use the classic editor but knowing how things are, I’m sure that will go and wake up in a couple of years.

the block editor does not replace the classic editor. It has its place but should not be the default editor. People like simplicity. Not everybody is technical. People do not want to create blocks to make a basic WordPress post.

    @nagypali

I agree and it’s very bothersome that the developer seemed indifferent to all of the comments.

I still have no idea how to paste multiple paragraphs into a single block or make a numbered list without the block being a numbered block. This is insanity. can you imagine having to create a separate block in Microsoft work or open Office just to create a numbered list?

I can’t imagine the dozens of things I would come up with if I used it longer than 30 minutes. Once I saw I could not do these two things I gave up right then.

To each their own. It seems to me WordPress developers think all of us people complaining just don’t get it. It’s like if we just gave it time we will understand better. I don’t like that.

but whatever. WordPress is great in so many other ways. As long as the classic editor sticks around, I have nothing to complain about.

    I’m aware of that.

Based on the messages I’m seeing here and the rating of the plug-in, I think you are out of touch if you feel it is going over well for the most part.

Thanks for the response but the average person doesn’t have time for this.

Personally, I also do not want to go through a bunch of if-then scenarios to write a simple blog post.

This is a typical example of trying to fix something that is not broken.

A block editor it’s good for what it’s good for but it should be a completely separate thing. It should not replace the standard classic editor.
