In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget Extended] RPWE Shortcode not working with categoryWhen you used that, did you all use the category slug or the full category name? Either way, sadly, it doesn’t seem to be working for me.

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget Extended] Where are the shortcodes? The cat shortcode doesn’t seem to work. I saw in one forum answer that someone suggested using category instead. That seemed to work for them, but not for me. Suggestions?

In reply to: [Exploit Scanner] Git repo for HashesAny chance of including the ability to pull the hashes from the git repo right into the plugin? It’s save a couple steps! Or maybe including a handy link in the admin interface to help calcified brains like mine remember where to pull the hashes from?
(Either way, I really appreciate your work on this plugin and the up-keep on the hashes. It’s been a real life-saver for me more than once!)
Sorry, I forgot to mark this as closed before, but the issue is completely resolved for me.
And, in fact, I appreciated the *fast* help to fix the problem so much I did make a small donation to say “thank you”. (And, I admit, I should donate to more plugin authors for the same reason and encourage others to do so!)Oh, wow! I didn’t expect you to fix it the same day!
I checked it on both the 3.6 and the 3.7 and it works on both!
You can see the test gallery here:
http://www.fantasist.net/wordpress/index.php/gallery-test/Thank you so much!!
Okay, when I get back is:
Uncaught Error: no such method ‘select’ for tabs widget instanceand the offending script seems to be:
wordpress/wp-admin/load-scripts.php?c=1&load%5B%5D=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,quicktags&ver=3.6But that error seems to come up as soon as I get on the page. It doesn’t change when I click the “Save/Reset” button.
Also, for your reference, I seem to be having the problem in both Chrome and Firefox and on both 3.6 and the latest build of 3.7. I started on the 3.7, which is my test blog, and then had the issue again on one of my 3.6 version sites.I appreciate your help!
I literally turned off every plugin except Photonic Gallery and Aksimet and I still couldn’t seem to save my settings. And ideas? Is there an error log I should be looking at?
Okay, so are there any *known* conflicts? Is there a list?

In reply to: “Encyclopedia” Plugin? While I’m sure that would work, it just seems to me that if I’m going to go to that much trouble, I might as well just install MediaWiki in a subdirectory. I mean, if I have to install something special, I might as well just use something that’s designed to do specifically what I want.
There are several threads about integrating MediaWiki with WordPress in various ways, but none of them seem any better than the plugins that have already been mentioned.
If anyone has any new ideas, though, I’d love to hear them!

In reply to: “Encyclopedia” Plugin?I haven’t actually tried it myself, but you might look at wp-dokuwiki and see if that does what you need.
Or, possibly, the dw2wp plugin. It seems to let you import a browseable version of a dokuwiki, which might serve your needs better. If you do try either of these, I’d love to hear the results!

In reply to: rewrite probs – mediawiki subdirectory under wordpressWhat version of MediaWiki are you using? Were you able to integrate it into the blog security, too? How about linking back and forth?
This looks like a great way to do it and I’d LOVE to see a tutorial somewhere!

In reply to: Blank PageFirst, I’d stop reinstalling. Double-check all your plugins. Before you upgraded, did you remember to turn them all off? If not, then try removing your plugins and adding them one at a time.
I was having a blank page issue and it turned out to be an outdated plugin. It worked fine on the older version of WordPress, but not so good with the new one. Luckily, it was a statistics module that I could live without until I could upgrade it.

In reply to: Outsourcing WordPress design work ??So, did you ever get a quote on their design? Did it work out? Are you still working through the design process? Did any of our responses help?

In reply to: importing cgi scriptDid you ever get anywhere with this? I have a site that has a *bunch* of Perl CGI that I wrote and I’d love to have it all managed via WordPress. I haven’t Googled everywhere, yet, but I haven’t found anything else on the Forums about integrating CGI into WordPress CMS.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look or any “gotchas”?
