Nope, this was the first time that I was adding any site to the search console as I didn’t even know what Google Search Console was before, was just following the instructions for activating Google Adsense on my WordPress site.
And yes, I had to go through the terms of services to set up my account.

as soon as i press troubleshoot, a blank page appears with:

There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.
