In reply to: [To Top] version 3.0 writes message to bottom of pageI don’t know what your comment said, but the latest version (3.0) seems to be working fine for me with just that one line of PHP commented-out.
Why they don’t just fix that I don’t know, unless there are more problems I don’t know of.

In reply to: [To Top] version 3.0 writes message to bottom of pageAre you sure the plugin is doing that? I thought that line of PHP was just dumping some raw CSS (the bit you configure in admin), in the variable
$inlineStyleout to the page ?I suppose you could confirm it by disabling the plugin and then taking another look. Or maybe there’s a plugin conflict.

In reply to: [To Top] version 3.0 writes message to bottom of pageI just commented out that PHP line. Why is it there? Left in from debugging?
Can’t see that commenting it out has hurt anything.
You misunderstand. By “content” I don’t mean text. I mean the post_thumbnail (“featured image”). On password-protected posts it should be hidden. It isn’t.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] CF7 Not Working with Safari (version 26.0.1)Scratch that about the Safari extension: I disabled and deleted it, rebooted and I still get intermittent contact form spinners. They’re the exception, not the rule, but they always come at some point.
But why only on Safari browser I don’t know (which to me kind of rules out plug-in conflicts).

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] CF7 Not Working with Safari (version 26.0.1)That debugging would have been a mammoth task since the problem was not only intermittent but affected all contact forms on many sites.
Fortunately however I’m pretty certain that the cause is the use of a particular Safari extension. I’m alerting the extension developers to look into it.
Sorry for the false alarm and thanks for your help.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] CF7 Not Working with Safari (version 26.0.1)The error seems intermittent, which is annoying to debug, but on one site it happens a lot:

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] CF7 Not Working with Safari (version 26.0.1)If it’s any help, the browser console reports a 403 failure to load a resource, but including a directory which does not exist in WordPress, like:
https://www.example.com/wp-json/contact-form-7/v1/contact-forms/72/feedback
I don’t know of any WordPress directory called “wp-json”.

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Can’t Activate Contact Form 7Apologies. This was an error due to a Safari extension, which was part of the macOS app “DuckDuckGo Privacy for Safari”. That old extension was crippling access to all my WordPress sites. Now deleted. The Mac App Store no longer has the app or its Safari extension, which is good – I would advise people not to use it if they find it as downloadable anywhere.
Can’t provide screenshots and sensitive URLs. It is the problem reported by others (not WooCommerce in this case).
Custom query string parameters can be stripped and user redirected if plugin is activated despite any configuration of plugin “Crawl optimization” settings.
Shall take a better look

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Problem with google recaptcha v3 verificationI have what seems to be this problem, ongoing — in the “Configuration” list on Google Cloud – reCAPTCHA > Key details > Overview, the message (for the “Backend” section):
"Incomplete Finish setting up your key: Request scores To fully protect your site or app, finish setting up your key. Your key is requesting tokens (executes), but isn't requesting scores (assessments)."I tried deleting the keys and generating new ones (as recommended above), but the alert notice is still there.
I’ve also sent messages (successfully) via CF7.
The reCAPTCHA configuration is quite opaque, but I don’t know if it is that, or something to do with CF7.
Anyone have the faintest clue?
UPDATE: the error has resolved at Google Cloud reCAPTCHA, though I still get a browser console error saying:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 401 (Unauthorized)https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api2/pat?k=[my_key]- This reply was modified 1 year, 4 months ago by sadhaka.
Hi, sorry for my delay in replying, but that doesn’t work. Now I remember that I tried that before, but it still doesn’t work.
